LIKE most freelance journalists, I have found myself balancing some commercial writing alongside work for publications.
Before my daughters were at school, I started a company called Passionate Media. This has grown into an agency offering PR, event management and copywriting services to a range of small businesses, charities and companies in various sectors.

My business partner Carol Garrington was named the UK's Most Exceptional Working Mum by www.motheratwork.co.uk in 2006 and our company has been highlighted in a report about flexible working by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
Present and past clients include, Lloyds TSB Bank, Nat West Bank, The West Bromwich Building Society, Tamba, The British Lung Foundation, Walsall's New Deal, Ruth Badger, Village Hotels and Compton Hospice.
